Their ceremony took place in the beautiful library, followed by quiet, intimate moments together that felt deeply personal and full of emotion. It was a day centred entirely around love, connection, and meaningful vows, set within one of Edinburgh’s most elegant historic venues.

Royal College of Physicians Elopement Ceremony in the New Library

The couple chose the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh as their venue. It is a breathtaking, historic setting right in the heart of the city. Their ceremony took place in the New Library, surrounded by their closest loved ones. The heartfelt readings and personal vows filled the room with emotion. It was a ceremony I’ll never forget.

Afterwards, the newlyweds stepped out for confetti on the College steps. It was a joyful moment. This was the perfect contrast to the calm, tender atmosphere indoors.

Edinburgh Elopement Portraits at the Royal College of Physicians

The College itself gave us some incredible backdrops for portraits. We wandered through the Queen Street Gardens. We visited the elegant upstairs gallery. We even explored the moody hallways (which were a dream for those atmospheric shots). Every corner of the Royal College of Physicians has character, and it suited Kathryn & Brian’s relaxed, editorial vibe so perfectly.

Cake, Champagne & A City Adventure

After cutting their cake and raising a glass of champagne, we headed out to explore the city together. First, we wandered through Circus Lane. Then, we had a quick caffeine fix at The Milkman on Cockburn Street (the loveliest little Edinburgh coffee shop). We finished our afternoon portraits at the iconic Vennel steps, with views of Edinburgh Castle as the backdrop. It couldn’t have been more romantic.
