I’ve been so excited to share this gorgeous Edinburgh Grand wedding photography story. Eilidh & Joe had a super-chic, intimate and heartfelt day at The Edinburgh Grand, and it was my first time photographing a wedding at the venue. With its elegant architecture, beautiful light and relaxed city feel, it suited a calm, editorial approach perfectly.

A relaxed and elegant Edinburgh Grand wedding in the heart of the city

The morning began in one of The Edinburgh Grand’s stunning suites—the perfect space for getting ready. High ceilings, stylish interiors, and huge windows pouring in that soft Edinburgh light set a calm-yet-buzzy tone. The hair and makeup dream team, Rosheen Warnock (bridal hair) and Eve Learmonth (makeup), worked their magic on the bride and her girls. It couldn’t have been a better start to the day.

Steeped in history, The Edinburgh Grand sits right in the heart of the city on St Andrew Square. The building was once the headquarters of the National Bank of Scotland. It has been beautifully restored. Now, it blends timeless architecture with modern luxury. From the marble columns in the lobby to the sweeping staircase, every corner of this venue feels impressive and sophisticated. It is the perfect setting for a stylish city wedding.

Eilidh looked incredible in her Suzanne Neville gown. The dreamy florals by Secret Garden Events added the most romantic touch. The whole day was full of genuine emotion, laughter, and love — completely true to them as a couple.

I was also lucky enough to work alongside the wonderful Content by Claire, who brought her incredible energy and creative eye to the day. Together we were on such a high, and I honestly don’t think you could have scraped us off the ceiling — the joy of the day was just contagious.
