What a day! This Broxmouth Courtyard Wedding was pure sunshine and smiles from start to finish. Susie and Lewis brought the best energy (special shout-out to Susie’s sister for keeping the hype going all day). From morning prep right through to the last tune, it was one of those weddings where I couldn’t stop smiling behind the camera.

A Joyful Broxmouth Courtyard Wedding Story
We started with the loveliest getting-ready buzz. There were great tunes, mimosas, great chat and perfect pre-wedding vibes. Hair and makeup were an absolute dream team, keeping everything relaxed while bringing the glam. I focused on details, cute candids and then a few bridal portraits as Susie finished getting ready. A very emotional first look with Dad (and then the bridesmaids) had everyone reaching for tissues. One more banger and a toast, and I nipped downstairs to the beautiful ceremony space.

The ceremony was full of love and lots of laughter. Susie’s brothers delivered a surprise group speech at the end. It included one very funny slip of the tongue that had everyone in stitches. Jokes aside, it was beautiful. Susan Young was a wonderful celebrant. After the “I do’s” were done, we rolled straight into courtyard confetti and cuddles with their guests.

Broxmouth Courtyard gives you so many gorgeous options. There’s even a beach. However, on our pre-wedding call we decided to keep things close-by. We chose to make the most of the beautiful lake area. This allowed S&L to spend more time with their guests and I absolutely loved this choice. So Jack (JS Wedding Films), my second shooter Ieva and I took the newlyweds for a short wander. The sun was high and the day was hot, but these two absolutely smashed it. It was the perfect little breather before heading back to the party.

The Party: big laughs and an iconic forward roll
Speeches were full of heart, the dance floor went off, and yes—there was an epic forward roll I won’t forget anytime soon (another credit to Susie’s sister!). DJ Dan Dewar from Tartan Entertainment kept the room bouncing. You just know it’s going to be a party when it’s a tartan wedding. The dance floor was packed. That is my happy place. I may have even had a little bop along behind the camera!

Thank you so much, Susie & Lewis, for having me along for such a wonderful celebration. It honestly was the happiest day from start to finish. And to all of their friends and family, thank you for making it such a joy to capture. What a day at Broxmouth Courtyard, one I’ll never forget it.
